A former bus inspector spent his £10,000 redundancy cash on outfits and singing lessons so he could pursue his dream of becoming an Elvis impersonator. David Black, 52, became miserable during the Covid pandemic and when he was offered voluntary redundancy he decided to take it.
But he had no plans of investing the money into stocks and shares, instead, he invested in himself - taking up singing lessons and buying an entire Elvis Presley ensemble. Now David is living his best life and following in The King's footsteps - although he hasn't made back the £10k from his impersonator work yet.
