A man has spoken of a nightmare plane journey which started with him simply asking a passenger to move out of his designated seat.
While everyone has their preference on where to sit on a plane, this man touched a nerve of fellow passengers and staff for asking a woman if he could indeed sit next to the window as he had booked that specific seat.
The man said he was on the receiving end of anger and cold looks for the remainder of the journey following the incident before take-off. He had hoped to lean against the window and get some shut-eye during the flight, as the Mirror reports.

After being displeased at his fellow passenger refusing the budge, he caught the attention of a flight attendant. Instead of asking the passenger to swap seats, the man was told to find another one.
In a Reddit post, he said: "At that point I politely told the flight attendant that I'd paid for the window seat and would like to sit in the seat that I'd paid for.
"The woman in my seat is told that she must move from my seat and take the open aisle seat.
"Now I'm the bad guy, the woman in my seat cannot contain how annoyed she is and the flight attendant is giving me the stink eye which continued for the remainder of the flight.
"In addition the flight attendant finds an open window seat for the woman (flight was full) while they both glare at me while she moves to her new seat."
Desperate for others to take his side for his own sanity, the man invited users in the comments to voice their opinion. And the majority of people were on his side, believing that he should have been allowed to take the seat without all the fuss that had been caused.
"The flight attendant should have been on your side," one person said.
"You paid for that seat and you have every right to expect to get what you paid for."
Another agreed, saying: "You paid extra for the window seat, so it belonged to you. The flight attendant handled it improperly."
A third person had even experienced this first hand and offered their advice, saying: "You paid for the seat. Same happened to me a few months ago, the other passenger removed to move and the stewardess wouldn’t help. I’ve complained to the airline, named the stewardess & demanded a refund for the seat booking fee."
