When you fancy a quick dinner that doesn't require a lot of effort, noodles are often a popular choice. They can be made into ramen, stir fry or simply topped with whatever you've got in the fridge or cupboards.
But one man has caused a stir on social media after pairing them with something you've probably never thought about doing. Grumpy Northern Foodie on TikTok created the dish of noodles topped with a full fry-up.
And while some people said they had "no words" to describe the unusual meal, others couldn't wait to make it for themselves. Grumpy Northern Foodie frequently posts creative yet simple recipes on TikTok and Instagram, showcasing his excellent cooking skills to his 38,900 loyal followers.
He often puts a innovative twist on some classic dishes, most recently showcasing his Big Mac pizza and lasagne samosas. And his recent noodles-fry up fusion dish has truly divided opinion, with some people saying he's "off his head" for his culinary concoction.
In the clip, he cooks baked beans in a pan and adds some cooked noodles, keeping them over the heat until they're well combined. After putting them in a bowl, he tops them with bacon, a sausage, black pudding, hash browns and a fried egg.
He then drizzles tomato ketchup over the top and, keeping true to the Asian heritage of the noodles, he tucks into the strange dish using chopsticks.
In the video's comments, people were baffled at this creation - but some recognised his creativity and said how keen they were to make it themselves. One person said: "I want to hate it but I bet it's one of those you try and ain't that bad."
Another commented: "I actually reckon it tastes good, I mean there ain't any reason it shouldn't, I like noodles and I like baked beans."
And a third joked: "Don't do this but also give it to me." Another wrote: "Love your creativity but you are off your head."
However, some people couldn't quite get behind the idea, with one saying: "Sometimes I wake up and wonder why." Another added: "I have no words."
