A man who brutally assaulted two young women in a “sickening” attack has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison. Petr Priessnitz, 30, was sentenced in his absence to 10 years and two months in jail at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday.
He had previously pleaded guilty to ABH and GBH following the incident at Newcastle railway station on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, but later fled the country. British Transport Police said officers would be "working relentlessly to bring him back to the UK and face justice, with an international arrest warrant already requested".
The court heard how Priessnitz lured the two vulnerable women to the station car park. Once there he subjected one victim, who has since died, to a lengthy assault; stamping on her face, smashing her front teeth and breaking her nose.
