A motorbike rider has been left seriously injured after a crash involving a car in Newcastle.
The incident took place just before 3pm on Sunday, August 7 in Cragside, and the man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries.
The roads around Derwentdale and Teesdale Gardens were closed for a number of hours to allow emergency services to attend the incident.

Police have now launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to the public for information. Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting log NP-20220807-0604.
