A man was taken to hospital this morning following a motorcycle accident in the Great Preston area of Leeds.
Emergency services including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance rushed to the scene at Berry Lane/Whitehouse Lane. Helicopter medics were seen landing close to the scene on Preston Lane at its junction with Whitehouse Lane. The patient was taken to Leeds General Infirmary in a road ambulance, accompanied by helicopter medics.
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "At 11.24 this morning (Saturday, April 8) officers were called by the ambulance to report a motorcycle had been involved in a collision on Berry Lane/Whitehouse Lane, Leeds.

"A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road remains closed. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 568 of 8 April."
