A man has been seriously assaulted following a 'disturbance' outside Glasgow's Blue Lagoon fish and chip shop near Central Station.
Officers were called to Gordon Street at 5.30pm on Sunday. Police confirmed to Glasgow Live that there had been a 'disturbance involving two to three males' outside the takeaway but 'two of the men were heavily involved'.
One man was rushed to hospital for treatment after the incident which is being treated as a 'potential serious assault'. The nature of the man's injuries were not confirmed by police but officers believe they are 'non-life threatening'.
The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, but his age and current medical condition were not disclosed. No other injuries have been reported at this stage.
Images from the scene show a couple of police officers outside the takeaway and a cordon put up around the area. A blue and white screen with several panels is also spotted just outside the entrance to the Blue Lagoon.

Several officers can be seen stood behind the panels. The tape appears to stretch from the Central Station side of the shop, right around the front, along to the newsagents next door.
It comes as tens of thousands of revellers will be leaving Glasgow Green to head home after the final day of TRNSMT 2022. Despite a wave of ScotRail service cancellations set for Sunday evening, droves of gig-goers desperate to make last trains will be making their way along Gordon Street, past the Blue Lagoon to get into the station via the main entrance.
A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live: "We were called to Gordon Street in Glasgow at 5.30pm on Saturday. There was a disturbance involving two or three males but two males were heavily involved.
"We are treating this as a potential serious assault. One man was taken to hospital.
"His injuries are at this stage believed to be non-life threatening."
