Man says robbed by three of Rs 11 lakh, Delhi cops find it to be fake, arrest him

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has arrested a man who allegedly staged a robbery and stole more than Rs 11 lakh in Rohini on Friday. Police said that the man had made a call about getting robbed by three unidentified men, which turned out to be fake.

The arrested man has been identified as Pankaj Sharma (40), a resident of Keshav Puram in Tri Nagar. He has been working as a cash collection agent at Kashvi Enterprises for more than three years. Stolen cash worth Rs 11,66,425 has been recovered from him, police said.
