One man’s lifetime stash of vintage adult magazines is tipped to sell for more than £20,000.
The discerning collector spent decades acquiring more than 3,000 rare and immaculate copies of glamour magazines such Playboy, Penthouse and Mayfair.
He is now selling his raunchy trove as he prepares to retire to Spain.
Auctioneers have been given the mammoth task of sorting through the huge collection of magazines neatly stacked in cardboard boxes.
The vendor, who ran an ‘adult shop’, has so far done two drop offs with his Land Rover Discovery filled to the brim with boxes and more are still being received in the mail.
The magazines range in dates from the 1960s through to the 1980s and include some rare editions of Playboy. Other top-shelf titles from the eighties on offer include Men Only, Razzle, Fiesta, Parade, Escort and Rustler.
Catherine Wilford, of Beeston Auctions in Norfolk, where the magazines are being sold, said: “This sale is only a faction of it.
“We are yet to see his ‘mint’ editions and there are a lot of boxes still to open.”
The collection will be sold on August 15.
