Man's body found next to major road in Nottingham

A man's body has been found near a major road in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed. Officers were called to Clifton Boulevard shortly before 3pm on Monday, June 12, after receiving reports of a body being found at the Dunkirk roundabout, under the A52 flyover

A spokesperson for the police said the death is currently being treated as unexplained and a file is being prepared on the incident for the coroner's service. Nottinghamshire Police do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to Clifton Boulevard just before 3pm today (Monday) after a man's body was found. The man was discovered by a member of the public under the flyover across Dunkirk roundabout.

"We are currently treating his death as unexplained and will be preparing a file for the Coroner. Whilst we understand this incident may cause some local concern, we do not believe there is any current risk to the wider public.

"Anyone with additional information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 478 of 19 June 2023."
