Arguably, people may find that cards are more thoughtful than gifts on celebratory occasions - especially birthdays. The thoughtfulness of specific words on the front and inside of a card can easily jerk a tear or two. This happened to one woman as a card brought her to tears, but not for the right reasons.
A married woman erupted in tears of laughter as her birthday card from her husband went horribly wrong as he used another woman's name in an accidental mishap. Sharing a video to popular video-streaming service TikTok, which documented the ordeal, couple Cal and Shauna left over 359,000 viewers in hysterics.
The pair - who boast more than 3,800 followers on account @calandshauna - were keen to share the laughable blunder online.
Captioning the post, Cal wrote: "That's what I get ordering the card late."
"Happy birthday!" He exclaimed in the clip as he passed the huge card over to his wife Shauna.
"Awww, this is really cute," she gushed as she opened the envelope.
However, she was unaware of the vital mistake which would lay before her on the birthday card.
When she clocked onto the blunder, she asked: "I do have one question - who's Caroline?"
"What do you mean?" Cal responded.
Much to their shock, the card read: 'Most amazing wife - happy birthday Caroline'.
Shauna burst into laughter, but was keen to make light of the situation, saying: "Have you married someone else, yeah? Is that your side hustle?"
According to those who flocked to the comments, they reckon that Cal forgot to change the automated name on the online card, which should have been personalised.
Budding users were in hysterics over the ordeal as they were keen to joke about the mishap, whilst others admitted they have also been victims to a name mistake.
One person penned: "This is brilliant."
"It was a funny mistake though," a second added.
A different user wrote: "Someone forgot to change the name on the site.."
"Don’t worry my mother done this for my birthday and it said Steve on the front," another person claimed.
