A 22-year-old man remains in a serious condition at a Lanarkshire hospital after being rushed there following a crash which closed a road for around nine hours.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a one-vehicle crash which saw a Red Vauxhall Corsa leave the road. The driver was rushed to Wishaw General Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The incident took place on the B7078 between Kirkmuirhill and Lesmahagow at around 6.35pm on Wednesday, March 8 and the road was closed for around nine hours - for a police investigation to be carried out - before re-opening at 3.30am this morning (March 9).

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, from the Motherwell Road Policing Unit, said: “I’d like to thank those members of the public who stopped and helped at the scene, and for those who have already spoken with police.
“Our enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and I would continue to ask for anyone who was in the area and may have seen the crash, or the Corsa involved, or have possible dashcam footage from the area, to please come forward.
