A man was rushed to hospital seriously injured after an unprovoked attack on a Paisley footbridge.
The incident happened at around 6pm on Friday, August 19 while the 50-year-old victim was walking over a footbridge between Abercorn Street and Carlile Place.
He ran from the area following the attack, and was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them. The suspect is described as being a white man, in his early-to-mid 20s, 6ft tall and slim build, with blonde hair, wearing a dark hoody.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton said: “This was an entirely unprovoked attack and we can only be thankful that the victim managed to get away and alert emergency services before things became even more serious.
“We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious, or has any information, to please come forward.
