A man has been rushed to hospital after a reported stabbing in Dundee in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Fairbairn Street, near Dundee FC and Dundee United's grounds, was cordoned off following the early morning attack.
The victim was rushed to Ninewells Hospital with injuries described as "serious but not life-threatening".
Uniformed officers and the CID were seen in the area. Part of the road reopened just after 10am but a police presence remained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.20am on Wednesday, 5 April, 2023, police were called to the Fairbairn Street area of Dundee, following the serious assault of a 37-year-old man.
"He was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Officers are following positive lines of enquiry.”
