A man was rushed to hospital following a hit and run on a major Leeds road.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police rushed to the crash scene on Wetherby Road, near Scarcroft, at 8.24pm on Thursday. The crash was between a Ford Fiesta and Chevrolet Cruise.
The Chevrolet driver, a man in his sixties, had to be taken to hospital. Police said the Fiesta occupants fled the scene, though a man was later detained on suspicion of being the driver and interviewed.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At 8.24pm yesterday, police were called to a road traffic collision in Wetherby Road, Scarcroft, involving Ford Fiesta and a Chevrolet Cruze. The driver of the Chevrolet, a man in his sixties, was taken to hospital to be checked over but was not seriously injured.
"The occupants of the Fiesta ran off from the scene. A male was detained on suspicion of being the driver.
"He has been interviewed in relation to the incident and enquiries are ongoing. The scene was cleared and the road reopened at about 10:30pm."
