A man has been seriously injured following an assault during a "disturbance" in Dundee which left him needing hospital treatment.
The incident occurred in the Forth Crescent and Charleston Drive areas of Menzieshill at around 9.35pm on Friday, March 18.
It is understood that it happened during a "disturbance" involving a group of males who had gathered in the middle of the street.
The 44-year-old was subsequently taken to Ninewells Hospital after he suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police Scotland are now appealing for further information to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the assault.
Detective Constable David Winton said: “This assault happened during a disturbance involving a group of males gathered in the middle of the road.
“We are investigating in order to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who can help to come forward.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any other information. We would also be keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage."
