Man rushed to hospital after being 'seriously assaulted' in Falkirk flat

A man has been left badly injured after being attacked by two men within a property in Falkirk.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident within a house on Bute Street at around 10:30pm last night, Monday June 13.

The 48-year-old was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital by paramedics to be treated for serious injuries.

Both suspects were last seen leaving the area in the direction of Wallace Street.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who might have information to help trace those responsible.

Detective Sergeant Chris Scott, from Falkirk CID, said: "This appears to have been a targeted attack and we do not believe there was any risk to the wider public.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

"We’re also keen to hear from anyone with potential dashcam footage or private CCTV from the area, as it could prove vital to our enquiries."
