A man has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in Ayr.
The 77-year-old was injured in the smash yesterday at around 3.50pm at the junction of Inverkar Road and Castlehill Road.
The pedestrian was hit by a black Honda car and was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. Officials have not disclosed the extent of his injuries.
Police have confirmed today that the driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who was in the area who witnessed the incident to contact them.
Anyone with a recording device is asked to check the footage as it may have recorded images which could assist in the ongoing police investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1990 of March 15, 2023.
