A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged stabbing at the Australia Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast. Police are investigating two crime scenes.
The popular Southport shopping spot was swamped by emergency services at around 12:20pm today, after they were called to respond to an alleged stabbing at the centre.
A 42-year-old man was reportedly found inside the toilets with a wound to his chest, and was escorted to Gold Coast University Hospital by critical care paramedics.
According to police, he is now in a stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury.

A spokesperson from Queensland Police has said there is no continued threat to the public.
A crime scene has been established at the toilets where the man was found, and an area on Welch Street near the Australia Fair Shopping Centre.
No arrests have been made at the time of writing.
Queensland Police have encouraged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
