Joseph Malinowski, also known as 'Lieutenant Dan,' has captured attention as he remains steadfast on his 20-foot sailboat in downtown Tampa's Hillsborough Bay, despite the looming danger of Hurricane Milton. Malinowski, who has faced numerous challenges in his life including losing a leg, battling cancer, and surviving addiction, is determined to weather the storm on his boat.
Despite being under mandatory evacuation orders in 'Evacuation Zone A,' Malinowski adamantly believes that staying on his boat is what God intends for him. He cites spiritual guidance and a belief that God will protect him through the storm.
