Man pulled from Lake Michigan’s ‘Playpen’ in Chicago Saturday afternoon is identified

CHICAGO — A recreational boater in the Playpen spotted a man’s body floating in Lake Michigan as the Chicago Air and Water Show wrapped up Saturday, Chicago police said.

Spencer Williams, 29, was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:14 p.m., according to information released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The discovery marked the third serious emergency in one week affecting revelers in the Playpen.
