An electricity worker was in a coma for two months after falling 50ft while working on a pylon. Gavin Pugh, 34, has been left paralysed from the waist down following the horrific incident.
Mr Pugh, from Bangor, was taken to hospital in Birmingham after the fall in Tamworth. Doctors feared that he would not survive having suffered what is known as a "T8 spinal complete injury".
North Wales Live reported that he has now returned home for the first time where his parents will now need to fit the house with specialist equipment for him to be able to get around. His friend, David Jones, 32, now plans to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge, over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to raise funds for the project.
