Man locked in six-year legal row with neighbour over 'misery' trees LOSES fight

A man has lost a six-year fight with his neighbour over trees between their homes he claimed made his life a “misery”.

Fed up Alan Armitage had wanted the trees belonging to Colin McInnes in Aberlady, East Lothian, removed he claimed they stopped sunlight reaching his garden.

Mr McInnes had trimmed his hedge on an annual basis but following a communication breakdown his unhappy neighbour turned to East Lothian Council to have them lopped under high hedge laws.
