Yesterday was the biggest moment of Gino Punneli's life.
The 29-year-old had travelled from London to Liverpool to ask his girlfriend Annsu Bosco, 26, to marry him. The pair met online, finally meeting in person on the rain-soaked streets of Liverpool in June last year.
Gino told Annsu, a nurse in the city, that they would be spending valentines day on a double date with his brother and said he was waiting for the right moment to ask Annsu to marry him.

He had originally planned to pop the question in the city centre but took a detour to the Albert Dock. As Gino saw the sun setting across the Mersey he knew it was the right time to get down on one knee.
Speaking to the ECHO he said: "I had been planning to ask her for the last month and I'm not sure that she knew. I was so nervous and thinking of what I was going to say.
"It was one of the biggest moments in our lives and I was worried she would say no. There were people around and it could have been embarrassing but lucky, she hugged me and said yes."
By chance ECHO photographer Ian Watts captured the proposal and Gino said the photographs "mean the world" to him. When the couple first met Gino said they spent a "perfect day together" and from that moment on he "knew she was the one".
Gino said: "I don't know how to explain it but that was the right moment, and to have it captured like that just made it so much better. Annsu is just perfect, she excels at everything she does and I love how independent she is. I can't wait to marry her and spend our lives together."
Gino and Annsu are planning on getting in married in India later this year.
