A group clash at Karadiguddi village left one dead and seven persons injured on Thursday.
Mudakappa Chandrappa Angadi (25) died of injuries and seven people, including Sunil Araballi, Bharamaj Araballi, Vithal Araballi, Lakkappa Halli and Vishal Bagadi, were injured.
All the injured were admitted to the District Hospital.
The police, who visited the village, said that enmity between two families over disputed land ownership led to the fight. The groups clashed with machetes and rods, on the road near the house of one of the victims. They all dispersed when the victim collapsed to the ground, the police said. A case has been registered.
