Man killed in collision with car on Old Kent Road

A 34-year-old man has died after a collision on Old Kent Road on Friday morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 6.45am after receiving reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian in south-east London.

They attended alongside first responders from the London Ambulance Service and treated the man at the scene.

Despite the best efforts of the paramedics, the 34-year-old sadly died at the scene.

The Met has said that the man’s next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

An investigation into the cause of the man’s death is underway.

The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The police has urged anyone with information, dash-cam footage, or video footage to get in touch by contacting police on 101 and referencing CAD1109/21Nov.
