A man has been killed after being punched unconscious in one single blow thrown by his friend.
The attack by Jamie Garwood, 34, caused Richard Thompson, 42, to hit his head off the ground. While unconscious, those around him placed cigarette butts in his nose before an ambulance was called.
The assault took place at Jamie's home in Newport on August 30 last year. Wales Online reports that all those present at the house had been drinking and taking drugs, including Mr Thompson, and the defendant had been smoking cannabis.
