Police have launched an appeal to help trace a man with links to Rochdale who they would like to speak with in connection to a serious incident in Morecambe earlier this week.
Morecambe Area Police were called to Queen Street in Morecambe on Wednesday evening (March 30) where a man was found with serious head injuries. The man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Officers said it is not yet understood how the man came about his injuries, but a full investigation is underway. As part of their enquiries, police now want to speak to another man in connection with the incident.

Police would like to talk to Ben Nightingale, 35, from Preston, who also has links to Rochdale. Nightingale is described as being white, six ft tall, with cropped dark brown hair and blue eyes.
It is thought he might currently have a beard. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck saying ‘Michelle’, and another on his back saying ‘Hayley’. His last known address was Eaves Lane in Woodplumpton, Preston.
Speaking about the incident, Det Insp Andy Ellis, of West CID, said: “A man is currently very poorly in hospital and we need to establish what has led to him sustaining these very serious injuries.
"Did you see anything suspicious or untoward? Do you have any CCTV or footage which could help us? We need to hear from you as a matter of urgency so please contact us or speak to Crimestoppers so that we can try and establish what has happened.”
