A man was rushed to hospital after a crash between two cars on Queens Drive.
Merseyside Police rushed to the major city road, at The Navigator traffic lights, at 4.20pm on Thursday, September 15, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a Range Rover and a Ford Fiesta had crashed and they requested help from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service.
Police closed a section of Queens Drive northbound while the vehicles are recovered and investigations are carried out. A spokesperson Merseyside Police said the driver of the Ford was treated by paramedics at the scene, but in a later update confirmed a man was rushed to hospital following the crash.

The man's injuries are unknown at this time. Traffic remains extremely heavy in the area, with officers diverting traffic down Acanthus Road.
The Arriva 81 and 81A bus services are being diverted away from the area. Police are asking people to avoid the area as the incident is ongoing.
