A man was hospitalised following a crash on the motorway near Paisley yesterday.
Emergency services were called to reports of a one-vehicle crash on the M8 where it passes over the White Cart Water around 3.20pm on Monday, February 13.
The driver of the car was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. Police say they are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Traffic Scotland alerted drivers of delays in the area and asked them to be careful. The road was cleared shortly after 4.30pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.20pm on Monday, February 13, officers received a report of a single-vehicle crash on the M8 westbound near junction 27.
"The male driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. Enquiries are ongoing."
