A Pennsylvania man died Monday after his right arm got caught in a wood chipper.
John Iskra, 68, was found unresponsive at a Feasterville-Trevose home by a family member, who called 911 shortly after 4:45 p.m., the Bucks County Coroner’s Office confirmed to The Independent.
Earlier reports indicated he was reportedly trapped up to his shoulder. Officials pronounced Iskra dead at the scene.
Iskra was autopsied Tuesday morning, with the cause and manner of death currently listed as “pending investigation.”
No foul play or intent to self-harm is suspected, the coroner’s office said.
Philadelphia police were present at the accident scene, as Iskra was related to someone affiliated with the department, according to Lower Southampton Police Chief Ted Krimmel.
"They are here supporting that person,” Lower Southampton Township Police Chief Ted Krimmel told NBC10 on Monday.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time,” the Lower Southampton Police Department added in a Facebook post on the day of the accident.
