A man is in a critical condition after an attack in Arklow on Tuesday morning.
Gardai were alerted to the attack at around 2:30am and a man in his 40s was found with head wounds. He was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital but later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

Guards investigating the attack are now looking for witnesses, including those with dash-cam footage.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area from 12:30 – 2:30am on Tuesday morning, who may have witnessed anything to come forward. They are particularly keen that anyone who may have camera footage from this area at this time (including dash-cam) to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Arklow Garda Station on 0402 32304, the Garda Confidential Line on (1800) 666 111, or any Garda Station."
