Man in court after armed police called to Falkirk disturbance

A man has been arrested and charged after a disturbance at a block of flats in Falkirk on Saturday evening.

Armed police, were called to Dundee Court in the Carron area shortly before 8:30pm following reports a person was allegedly in possession of a knife.

Pictures sent to Falkirk Live from the scene show a number of mercy crews at in attendance, and the window of a flat smashed.

A 34-year-old was later arrested and charged and taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

He's due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court today, Monday May 23.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to concern for a person on Dundee Court, New Carron, Falkirk around 8.20pm on Saturday, 21 May, 2022.

"A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital and released following treatment.

"He is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 May, 2022."
