A man has been rushed to hospital following an early morning 'disturbance' in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, sped to the Rockburn Crescent area of Hattonrigg, Bellshill around 3.20am.
A man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital to receive treatment for a serious injury.
His current condition is not yet known, nor is the nature of the incident.
Officers have now launched an investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
A Police Scotland spokesman told Lanarkshire Live: “Around 3.20am on Sunday, June 26, we received a report of a disturbance in the Rockburn Crescent area, Hattonrigg, Bellshill.
“Emergency services attended and a man who sustained a serious injury was taken to Wishaw General for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
