Man hospitalised with 'serious' injuries after assault in city centre

Dublin Live Gardai Mater Hospital Talbot Street

A man was rushed to hospital this afternoon after an assault in the city centre.

The incident happened at around 1:30pm on Talbot Street. Gardai and emergency services attended the scene, and the one man was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment.

It is understood that the man sustained serious injuries. A garda spokeswoman confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the incident.
