A man is in hospital with gunshot wounds after being struck by bullets fired from a car in Sydney's west.
The man was shot in the early hours of Thursday morning on Donnelly St at Guildford.
The 40-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition with serious injuries to the lower part of his body.
Police were told the bullets were fired from a car that stopped in the street.
The vehicle is yet to be identified.
Police are investigating and have appealed for dashcam footage or anyone with information to contact crime stoppers.
The early morning incident was the third shooting in Sydney in as many days.
A 20-year-old man was killed on Tuesday morning at Fairfield Heights, in the city's southwest, after shots were fired from a car about 8.30am.
The following day, a 79-year-old man allegedly shot a 77-year-old man in the groin in an office block in Sydney's city centre.
The elderly man was arrested after office workers held him down following the shooting and he is due to face court on Thursday.
