A motorcyclist ended up in hospital after a crash with another car in Brislington last night (Thursday, January 1).
Police were called to Callington Road at 5.51pm and closed the road while the incident was dealt with.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said that their clinicians spoke to the injured motorcyclist over the phone and decided that the man would take himself to hospital.

A witness told Bristol Live that the motorbike was "smashed to bits" following the crash and said that the man was on the floor after the crash.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at 5.51pm yesterday (February 3) to Callington Road in Bristol following a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
“The motorcyclist was due to attend hospital to be checked over.
“Road closures were lifted at about 7.45pm.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 17.56hrs on Thursday, February 3, to a road traffic collision in the Brislington area.
Our expert clinicians subsequently spoke with the patient, who advised us they would convey themselves to hospital.”
