A man has been threatened with a knife and punched in the face before being robbed of his medication in The Meadows. Nottinghamshire Police says that the victim was confronted in an underpass close to The Bridgeway Centre at around 3.30pm on Monday (December 5).
He was grabbed by another man, who attempted to seize a plastic bag full of medication from him. The medication fell to the floor and the offender picked up a box before running away towards Nottingham railway station.
Officers found a suspect matching the description of the offender after arriving at the scene and arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. Detective Sergeant Franco Guddemi, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a nasty street robbery and the victim is understandably shaken up after such an unpleasant incident.

"Officers responded to the robbery immediately and I am pleased they quickly caught up with a suspect. The force will never tolerate this sort of violence and offenders can expect a robust response to any report of a street robbery."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any further information is being asked to get in touch with police. People should call 101 and quote incident number 453 of December 5.
