Man has arm slashed with 'machete-like weapon' in west Dublin brawl

A man has been rushed to hospital after his arm was allegedly slashed with a 'machete-like weapon' during a brawl in Mulhuddart.

The shocking scenes took place in the Castlecurragh area of the sprawling Dublin 15 suburb just after 6pm on Monday evening.

Armed gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene to ease tensions and treat the victim, who was rushed to nearby Connolly Hospital.

Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardai confirmed to Dublin Live that no arrests were made, but investigations are continuing.

They said: "Gardai attended the incident of assault which occurred in Mulhuddart, Co. Dublin on Monday 11th April 2022 at approximately 18:02pm.

"One male was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.

"No arrests have been made, investigations ongoing."
