Whether you're religious or not, most people would feel uneasy after discovering a 'devil's trap' in their home. That's exactly what happened to one man who uncovered a giant pentagram on his living room floor while redecorating.
Sharing his discovery on Reddit, user AdamPowers22 simply said: "Pulled up the carpet in newly purchased house to find this." The five-pointed star is carved into the floorboards with no explanation as to why it's there.
The symbol has been adopted by various religious movements including, but not limited to, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wicca and Satanism. The homeowner added: "Sanders are out, taking care of it. We’re just going to ignore the smell coming from under the floorboards…"
Commenting on the find, one user said: "It's a devil's trap, just making sure demons are caught in it if they move across it. Supernatural fans know."
Another user added: "You need to sacrifice a goat in the middle of it. Then when it's time to move the heavy furniture in, the sofa, wardrobe and cabinets will float effortlessly into the house on their own as if by magic."
A third user said: "Wait until they find the plastic skeleton partially buried in the insulation."
One more user joked: "Great score! A home with it's own protection sigil! I always have to make my own."
It comes after a woman uncovered a "scratched up" polaroid hidden underneath a box in her attic.
She was clearing out her family's vacation home when she came across the photograph with the words: "Do you see him?" written on it.
Creeped out by her discovery, she has taken to Reddit to see whether anybody can make out a figure in the image.
She said: "I found it while cleaning out my family vacation home. I tried cleaning the picture as much as I could but it's really scratched up.
"I can't even really see anything, just an outline of a house and I don't see an outline of a person. I will try to look for more."
She went on to explain how a couple lived in the house before her family bought it as their vacation home.
But her dad has tasked her with cleaning it out so they can put it on the market to sell.
While most users urged her to "stop looking for him and get out of there", others tried to invert the photograph to see whether they could see a man hiding in the image.
One user said: "You don't see him? I can see him. He's just standing there, what's creepy about it? I don't understand. Like it's just a guy standing there."
Another user added: "I felt creeped out just looking at it. Bury it and never speak of it again."
A third user said: "Ok but do you guys see a person with a hat on about halfway in the picture?"
One more simply said: "Put it back. Sell your house. Never go back."
