A body has been discovered on a beach in Somerset this morning (Wednesday, April 20).
The man was found on the beach at Minehead in the early hours of this morning. Officers confirmed they were made aware of reports of a body being discovered just before 6.30am, reports SomersetLive.
Emergency services have been present on the beach throughout the morning as enquiries begin to establish the man's identity and how he died. His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that officers and investigators remain at the scene as initial enquiries into the situation begin. The statement said: “We were called at 6.28am this morning after a man’s body was found on a beach in Minehead.
"Officers, including specialist forensic investigators, are at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries to establish the man’s identity and how he died are ongoing.”
