A man was found dead after police were called to an incident on the beach in Weston-super-Mare earlier this week.
Emergency crews launched the lifeboat at approximately 5pm on Wednesday (May 25) with the coastguard requesting assistance from police at 5.10pm, reports SomersetLive.
The man was discovered unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not treating the man's death as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The coastguard called us at approximately 5.10pm to make us aware of an incident they were dealing with on Weston-super-Mare beach.
"Emergency services attended. Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The cause of the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.”
This was the 14th call out for Knightstone Harbour's volunteer lifeboat team in twelve months when call outs are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels.
The RNLI in Weston-super-Mare has also recently appointed a new volunteer lifeboat operations manager. Chris Ware is a former police superintendent and head of security at Bristol Airport who is now taking to the helm of the base.
Mr Ware will take over from Mike Buckland, who is standing down after four years in the role as manager from the lifeboat station on Knightstone Plaza. Mr Buckland will continue his work with the wider team on developing plans to return Weston’s lifeboat station to Birnbeck Island.
