A man has been found dead inside a building which went up in flames this morning in Dublin city centre.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze just before 10am this morning at a home on Parkgate Street, next door to the Ashling Hotel.
Luas Red Line services into the city were suspended for the morning as Dublin Fire Brigade battled the blaze. After the fire was extinguished, the body of the man, aged in his 60s, was discovered inside.

The man's body has been removed from the scene and brought to the city morgue.
Gardai told Dublin Live: "At approximately 9:55am this morning, Wednesday 29th June 2022, Gardai received a report of a fire at a property on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the fire was extinguished by Fire Services.
"The body of a man, aged in his 60s, was discovered inside the property. His body has been removed to the city morgue where a post-mortem will take place at a later date."
