A man who went to Mcdonald's for his dinner and whose wife then went the next morning for breakfast has been issued a ticket for spending more than 14 hours in the car park. Ben Mulhall, 32, drove home after getting a McChicken Sandwich on the evening of September 30 then his car was spotted in the car park the next day.
Ben says the cameras have made a mistake and not captured him leaving the first time or the car arriving again. He is appealing to the company that manages the car park. Ben told LeedsLive: "I know sometimes you have to wait for your food but I definitely didn't wait that long. I was amused when I got the letter.
"I wasn't angry or annoyed, I just like exposing incompetence. The cameras must have just missed me leaving and the car coming back in. My wife sometimes likes a Mcdonald's breakfast on her way back from a night shift and I think that's what they've caught the next day."
