A dog was heard yelping as a man used a petrol station power washer to clean it, before being confronted by a witness. The dog was seen trying to run around a car to get away but was followed by the man with the hose.
According to an animal charity, chemicals in the washers could burn the skin of the animal, and are dangerous. They said the person who took the video confronted the man, but was shouted at.
The incident was reported to police in Ireland, reports CorkBeo.
A police spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána is aware of reports of an incident involving a dog which occurred in the Bishopstown area of Cork last Friday.
"An Garda Síochána is making enquiries in relation to this incident and is asking anyone who witnessed this incident to please contact local Gardaí."
