A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being found injured on a Scots street.
The 33-year-old was found with serious injuries in St Andrew's Drive, near to its junction with Shields Road, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow around 6pm on Thursday.
Emergency services raced to the scene and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Medical staff described his condition as critical.
Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and police are urging anyone with information to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Jason Nicol, of Cathcart Police Office, said: "It is absolutely vital that we find out how the man came about his injuries and we are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.
"I am appealing to anyone who was on the area yesterday evening and witnessed what happened to this man to please get in touch.
"I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling in the area at around that time to check their footage in case they have managed to capture anything of significance."
