Man feared he would die after savage attack by out of control dog

A man has told how he was screaming in terror after being savagely attacked by a dog just yards away from his home. Chris Oakes feared he would die when he was pounced on by an out of control American Bulldog that ran at him as he walked his own dogs with his girlfriend.

Chris, 40, was left with a snapped arm after the ferocious dog attacked him near his home as he tried to protect his Staffordshire Bull Terriers Frank and Betty from getting hurt in the chaos, the Mirror reports. Chris said he feared for his life after feeling a bone breaking as the Bulldog sunk its teeth into his arm.

The decorator was out on a morning walk with Frank, three, on a lead and his girlfriend with Betty, two. As they were returning home, Chris said he heard something coming towards him from behind as they were on a gravel path.
