One of two men charged with attempted murder has appeared in court over shots allegedly fired at a vehicle in Brisbane's north.

Todd Henry Sweeney, 31, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court as the matter was heard on Friday while Daniel Joseph Page, 45, did not appear. Both remain in custody.

Deagon resident Sweeney and Page, from Brighton, have been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Police will allege Sweeney opened fire on a black Toyota LandCruiser when he arrived in a black Mazda with Page for an arranged meeting at Norbiton Street, Zillmere on December 28 last year.

No one was injured after "five or six shots" were fired, according to police, who will allege one of the defendants left their phone at the scene.

Sweeney appeared in court on Friday on weapons and other charges including after allegedly being found in possession of a handgun and rifle in Mount Isa in February.

Page also faces weapons and drugs charges including supplying heroin on four occasions.

They were remanded in custody by magistrate Elizabeth Hall after their matters were adjourned to June 13.
