The cruel crimes of a pair of vile robbers were revealed when their vulnerable victim tried to jump off a motorway bridge.
Claire Brennan and Brian Elliott's 'mean and unpleasant' crimes drove the man to the brink of suicide after he was left with no money to feed himself and pay bills, the Liverpool Echo reports. He was thankfully talked down the bridge by officers, when he then told them how the pair had been routinely been marching him to a cash machine once every two weeks and forcing him to hand over his benefit money on the day it was paid.
Brennan and Elliott preyed on him because he was 'vulnerable', Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday. They subjected him to a 'programme of intimidation and robbery'.
