Man dies on packed beach on hottest day of the year after ‘medical emergency’

A man has died after a medical incident on the beach in Hastings, east Sussex amid a record-breaking heatwave across England.

Emergency services responded to the emergency Sunday morning on the beach near Warrior Square, St Leonards, following concerns for a man’s welfare, Sussex police said.
